Morning Music Club (MMC) Chorus
MMC Chorus • Open to all members; no auditions required. • A professional director holds rehearsals during the autumn season to prepare for the annual Holiday Concert. Their performance is repeated in the community as part of MMC’s Outreach Program.

Violin / Piano Tues, Nov 12, 2013, 10:30 a.m. Artur Kaganovskiy, violinist, holds a bachelor and master’s degree from The Juilliard School where he studied with Masao Kawasaki, Lewis Kaplan and Grigory Kalinovsky. Winner of National and International Competitions, he made his debut with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in 2007, and has toured in Europe, Russia, China and the United States. Pavel Gintov, pianist, a graduate of Moscow State Conservatory is currently a doctoral candidate at Manhattan School of Music studying with N ina Svetlanova. He is First Prize winner of the Takamatsu International Piano Competition, Japan, the 2012 Bradshaw/Buono Competition, New York and the Bach International Piano Competition, Italy. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Teatro Verdi Nationale, Kioi Hall, and the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory.
Holiday Concert TUES, Dec 3, 2013, 10:30 a.m. Morning Music Club Chorus will perform under director Melissa Manning. Two eleven-year-old students attending Rockland Conservatory of Music, Heather Hamon, pianist and Ansil Babran, guitarist will be guest artists. Carols and a festive reception will follow.
Duo Pianists Tues, Mar 11, 2014, 10:30 a.m. Matthew Harrison, lecturer/teacher, holds a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music where he currently teaches Piano Literature in the Pre-College Division. Vlada Yaneva, a graduate of the National School of Music in Bulgaria, has garnered prizes in prestigious competitions. Their recitals featuring one piano and an “open conversation” format have taken them from stages in Europe to Carnegie Hall and the airwaves of WQXR.
City Winds Trio Wed , APR 9, 2014, 10:30 a.m. Crispian Fordham, flutist, holds a master’s degree from Mannes College of Music and has performed as soloist and chamber musician at L incoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and with the Gold Coast Opera Company. Meredyth Coleman, oboist, has a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree from the Harrt School of Music. She has performed as a chamber musician with the Emerson String Quartet and in symphony orchestras under such conductors as Kurt Mazur and Maxi Shostakovich. Jack Bender, pianist and composer. He wrote the score for “Midnight Madness” premiering in 2008 at the Alvin Ailey Theater, NYC.
